Haha! The U of The library has a copy of this ad in their collection of Doyle ephemera. There was a great post about it around a month ago.

Oh dear. I’ve never seen this before: I wonder if there’s a reason for putting Sherlock Holmes on it?

Surely it couldn’t be because he engages in the unnameable act, could it? Could it?
