Hey nonny. I’m not sure there’s a moment in the show where I actually laughed out loud. I have to say though, the creative gif sets and jokes that the fandom has made here on tumblr during the many haituses of this show have had me nearly wetting myself on the floor. Here’s just a few I found quickly …
“I decided early on there would be no mention of the S word, or indeed the H word, still less the ‘E, MDW’ phrase. But that didn’t mean there couldn’t be, maybe, a couple of sly references… Benedict was an incredibly good sport about it all, especially given the audience was full of Sherlock fans. Though he did give me quite a look at the first read-through when we got to ‘Wow, Skip! You’re just like Miss Marple!’ “
I love how John walks up to the police tape with both hands in his pockets, barely slowing down, knowing that Sherlock is going to lift the tape for both of them. They’ve known each other for less than 48 hours, but in that time they’ve become flatmates, Sherlock has cured John of his debilitating limp and offered him a life worth living, and John has saved Sherlock’s life. Of course Sherlock is going to lift that tape, and of course John knows he’s going to do it. Whether you ship them, or think they are just best buddies, they are made for each other.
Two pieces of a puzzle
They’re uniquely well suited to each other. No one else would ever fit they way they fit! ❤️
Mark Gatiss in an interview to the Indian newspaper, The Hindustan Times, dated 11 August, 2018.
He had something to say about the possibility of the next season of Sherlock.
“Give people a chance to miss it”? Mark, I adore you, and I stand by my analysis that it’s the long hiatuses that made it possible for me to write at all, so you know, thanks, but… miss it is all we do. We wait and we miss it.
Silencio, the Mexican film directed by Lorena Villarreal and starring John Noble and Rupert Graves, now has its own website! (silencio2018 dot com) (See the tag for more on the film.)
The shots of Rupert in the Gallery and Cast pages are lovely, if a little small, but I think we can all still appreciate the top one from the Cast page, despite the graininess… 😉
I will be enormously disappointed if it’s hard/impossible to see this film. The story sounds great! (And Rupert looks gorgeous!)
