I am not going to give Mofftiss’ Dracula a chance.. Sorry that ship has sailed. For me they represent an unfinished promise in writing, not in Johnlock. And their treatment of the highly intelligent and perceptive fans was the last draw. As much as I still keep their first two seasons dear to my heart, their credibility is long gone. Again nothing to do with Johnlock and everything to do with the way they treat their source inspirations and anyone else who is equally invested in those.
From newsthump.com. Sorry again but I do think this is funny.
Pardon my bitter ass for reblogging this.
Pardon me too 😂
If you would have told me 6 months ago that we’d be using our knowledge of M*fftiss (and analyzing their stuff) to drag BBC Dracula I would have laughed.
But really I’m so @_@ with how all of this has gone that it just seems like the natural absurd progression of things
You know, I remember reading somewhere that Mofftiss were batting around the idea of this new project (which we now know to be Dracula) as far back as when they were writing for Sherlock Season 4. And I felt at the time that one of the reasons Moffat probably quit Dr. Who was to focus more on this new project.
So for me that sort of explains Sherlock S4, and especially TFP. Their hearts, minds, and creativity were already focussed somewhere else. Basically they were just getting bored with Sherlock, and it showed.
I just want to add @sussexbound‘s tags because that sums up even more of my opinion on this new project:
We’ve probably written up the plot AND the meta before this thing has even aired…
Lol we are so fucking ready for their asses they ain’t gonna know what hit em
Like, I won’t consider it a success until we generate a minimum of two (2) radio times articles discussing queer content before the god damn thing hits the air
Imagine the dumbass click bait headlines, “is dracula the next babadook? It’s more likely than you think”
Lmao. ❤ Everyone get cracking then. 😉
okay… here’s a thought. Yesterday I learned about the genre of female vampire films. They were created for a male audience, but became important for lesbian pop culture as well as this was the only genre that showed women being physically intimate. So here’s my guess: Moftiss will do a female Dracula.
female dracula seems very probable to me as well, i think aa once said in some obscure radio interview about holmes and watson that the next step was to make them women (i have no source, just my memory), so she might have known about a female dracula
@miadifferent You made it worse, and I can definitely see that happening. D:
