I think he must have plunged into an actual liquid they then CGIed as black oil, but still…. going up one’s nose and mouth,.. <shudder>
It was 100% real though, which make the shot more amazing… but still it was devastating..

Omg! I always wondered how they did this scene, I thought it was cgi but the fact that it’s practical effects and Benedict went all in with it (literally!) I have so much respect for his dedication
