anyways this is a personal scientific research.. if you’re a fan of bbc sherloque reblog or comment or tag with 1 or more than 1 moment from the show that always always sends shivers down your spine everytime you rewatch!!
The scene which consistently fucks me up is when John throws Sherlock on the bed and tucks him in and Sherlock slurs, “Why would I need you?” in ASIB. Like honestly I can’t even look at gifs of that scene because it’s too fucking tender
The look of pure horror on John’s face when he realizes the inevitable consequence of Sherlock shooting Magnusson.
The look on Sherlocks face before he shoots Magnusson. The way he looks at John and then decides, again, to sacrifice himself.
When Sherlock realises John is trouble and he drops his chips. Then stops a motorbike like a badass and drives 1,000 mph. He literally throws himself in a pyramid of fire for him like ‘fkcu it’ because he will not let John die.
The scene at the wedding reception when Janine asks Sherlock if he has any openings and his eyes flick over to John…
Battersea. John’s face has never been so vulnerable. It’s impossible to look at him directly.
The Pool scene. When John comes out and Sherlock thinks he’s Moriarty for a milisecond. And when John gives Sherlock the tiniest of nods for him to shoot the vest
A lot of fans feel disillusioned after S4. It doesn’t have to be like that.
For me, canon is just a starting point. When there’s something I don’t like, I WRITE TO FIX IT. Mofftiss is two guys who can’t possibly beat millions of creative brains hell bent on showing them how things should or could have been.
Don’t give up. Don’t stop creating.
Conan Doyle largely based Sherlock Holmes on a person he respected and looked up to (Arthur the fanboy even wrote him a gushing letter stating this connection). In effect, his Sherlock is fan fiction. Thus, the BBC Sherlock is fanfic upon fanfic upon fanfic. What we, as fans, are doing, when we create things, is simply adding another layer. Add your truth. It is as beautiful, as valid and as worthy as the truths of those who came before.
For me, one of the most glorious things about fandom is our ability to pick the parts of source material we like, and run with them.
Only a few days left to donate! Donors will get to see the finished film in April, while others will have to wait til 2019. Any amount helps! We want as many people to see this film as possible, so please donate today!
I feel like 90% of the actual Sherlock-related content that I fail to keep up with when I’m not looking at Tumblr just consists of posts that boil down to “Arthur Conan Doyle was mad gay”
Sebastian: I’m locked in on Sherlock’s throat, Neil’s my secondary. Miranda’s on Watson with Kevin. Waiting on the signal boss.
Sebastian: Kevin, where the fuck are you aiming. That’s the wall. Aim for Watson’s chest. Down a bit. To the right. No, your right. For fuck’s sake we’re here for murder not petty vandalism. If the bullet hole can be fixed by plaster you’re not at your mark. We are killers not wallers. Aim your goddamned gun at the tiny doctor in the fucking cardigan.
Kevin: You’re breaking my concentration, man. I got this. I’ll be ready.
Pros of being a Fandom Old:
– never have to worry about my mom finding out about my porn fic
– have seen it all before and give few if any fucks
Cons of being a Fandom Old:
– forced to work at actual job instead of writing fic all day
– have seen it all before and get regular “ugh not again” moments
