sometimes I’m like, what if the instrument both sherlock and eurus played wasn’t the violin but like… the trombone. or the recorder. or the piano, but sherlock can’t drag a baby grand out to sherrinford every time he visits, so he just brings a keyboard.

DRUMS.

sigh. so much that could have been

And of course they bring these out for special occasions and Christmas.

DO NOT CONTACT/SPAM TAKEI

We don’t need Takei to trend #norbury.

And if this goes wrong it could go VERY wrong.

The story of Jim and the skull is very ominous, this entire thing is sketchy and seems like a set up for us to fail – don’t take the bait.

We spoke directly with dymm on our chat the other day, and they said contacting real life celebrities was not a good idea. Instead, we should be looking for twitters like @StartsBritain, humours and with a good following, who are also unsatisfied with TFP.

The last thing we need is news sites with headlines like “Sherlock fans harass George Takei” or something similar. This isn’t going to help our cause.

We’re also planning on going radio silent tomorrow, instead of following the skull’s plan, until they give us more solid clues.

Yeah, I’m not about the spamming personally.

Do you, but I’m not spamming someone and possibly bringing more wrath the way of any of us, regardless of if you are playing/believe or not.

I’m not following the ARG myself but anything that involves spamming real life people is a bad idea, please don’t do this. It’s not fair to bring anyone into this without their willing participation.

I don’t even know what’s this about and why George Takei is involved with Johnlock in any manner but can we please avoid being ‘the weird fandom that harasses celebrities’ again please?

OPERATION TREND #NORBURY: REDUX

We at TJLC agree with @worriesconstantly and @alwaysanoriginal: making enough anti-S4 noise using twitter hashtag #norbury is the most likely interpretation of what the Sherlock PTB want out of fandom during this… shall we call it an intermission?

Dale Pike, a fic author whose works are almost certainly a product of Moffat & Company, suggested this course of action on January 29th. As of yesterday, in a new fic, The Players, a character IN-NARRATIVE confirmed as Moffat (masquerading as a very clumsy Sherlock), BEGS US to tell the world who he really is. Because that matters. And we just wanted to hear him say it.

In Dale Pike’s first suggestion, we received a link to THIS HANDY VIDEO which sums up the most egregious of s4 sins. We’ve been encouraged to TWEET THIS VIDEO as well as any other original content we may want to berate the internet with. The only ao3 tag on “The Players” is #norbury. So let’s get this show on the road.

Will it work? I DON’T KNOW. BUT WE SHOULD TRY!!!!!!! WE SHOULD TRY!!!! And we should see if we can manage to get enough of a buzz going in time for March 8th, since, supposedly, if I’m reading the signs right, SOME sort of truth ought to be revealed.

The goal here is to get #norbury trending within one hour, then keep it going as long as we can sustain. This blog is thinking we should go for 7pm London time/2pm EST/11am Pacific on Saturday and Sunday, March 4th and 5th.

In “The Players,” it’s been suggested that we’ve got to get Sherlock’s attention with a one word test, yelling, together, as loud as we can. This disorients Sherlock enough that the bomb hidden beneath his coat becomes exposed. While I have a feeling TPTB may be trying to remedy this situation themselves, they’re clearly struggling, and WE SHOULD TRY TO HELP!

BONUS TIP: IF WE CAN GET SOMEONE WITH 50K FOLLOWERS TO RETWEET OUR MESSAGE, WE SHOULD BE TRENDING WITHIN MINUTES.

ALL TOGETHER NOW:

>GET #NORBURY TRENDING
>WITHIN 1HR
>ON MARCH 4TH AND 5TH
>AT 7PM LONDON/2PM EST/11AM PST

AND REBLOG THIS FUCKING POST!!!!!!!!!!

Once more unto the breach. .. let’s do this!

Why I didn’t like The Final Problem #17382900979391988291911

BCC Sherlock is glorified fanfiction, and the summary read as “Me and my friends absolutely love Sherlock Holmes, and so we wanted to do a modern day AU, we’re going to try to stay as close to canon as possible while still updating everything.”

If I saw that on AO3 and decided to read it, I wouldn’t want to read a fic where an OC was a main character or the main villain, because they’re OC wasn’t in the original canon, and she wasnt advertised in the tags. I have no investment in Eurus or her modern day existence because she never existed in the first place and literally none of TFP felt like a tribute to anything ACD related.

Its like the fanfic wasn’t labeled right but i was still expected to enjoy it?

personal request, if you see me/my blog getting name-dropped or “”“imitated””” on other sites i would fully appreciate a heads-up.

and if you do see it happen, please don’t signal-boost or encourage whoever’s doing it. i wouldn’t like it or think it was funny or interesting and as a person who has put hundreds of hours of labor into Sherlock fanwork since 2013, i do not consent to having my online identity used in any other referential capacity.

Original post by Charlie is here.  |  Twitter post here if you want to RT

Whether you believe trending this is the next step in an ARG or not, this is a venture worth pursuing.

If you don’t have a Twitter, make a Twitter. If you have a Twitter but don’t want to use it for this, make a separate Twitter. Retweet and reblog information about this. And if you have any connections in media–journalists, popular Twitters/blogs/anything–please try to get them to cover this so that the impact is larger and it trends faster.

Let’s be loud. We’ve been listening to them; now let’s make the world listen to us.

Viva la conspiracy, etc.

Please, unfollow this person on twitter. They download fan videos from YouTube and re-upload on their twitter account without credit.

What I find most revolting about my work being stolen is that they didn’t just re-uploaded, they cut out last 4 seconds of my fanvideo so people on Twitter won’t see my YouTube username.

It’s disgusting. If you want to share a video on Twitter, share by using YouTube link. and for the love of God, don’t just cut out bits and bobs from other people’s works. Making fanvideos takes time. “Love, Sherlock”(the one that they re-upload) took me 10 months to make, from May 2016 til February 2017.

Please, please, please unfollow and reblog so other people know. @love-in-mind-palace @watsonsdick @may-shepard @cupidford
