Mofat said something completely different in the BTS interview. He said that they were quite lucky, that Mycroft looked said in ASiB after the pirate reference, because they now could re-motivate that scene. But it was luck, not intention.

If you can go to this, I don’t recommend being rude and bruitsh to them. BUT if you can come up with questions that force them to account for s4, go for it.
