2017 is the year all TV shows die

BBC Sherlock is effectively dead

OUAT has a season finale on Sunday. The main 3 actors are not coming back for another season. If they have a 7th season, it’s dead on arrival.

I need new TV shows to watch

softlavenders:

Well I guess I’m getting back into doctor who

I haven’t watched doctor who in Y E A R S. And I’m not about to change that now, wanna know why?

1. Steven Moffat

2. BBC’s “lovely” track record with LGBT+ characters

3. This is so clearly a marketing ploy, I may be sick

4. Have we forgotten JACK HARKNESS?!?

toxicsemicolon:

the thing about oklahoma! is it’s such a truly, truly out-of-left-field reference to make in this show. like neither of them are fans of the musical the way mark is a fan of horror. it doesn’t have anything to do with anything english or holmesian or victorian. it’s not even a mystery! and yet they reference it — not once, but TWICE: once just before tab, and once just after. and the only thing they plainly have in common is that the main character has an opiate-induced fever dream that helps them make a decision. a dream that in sherlock is bookended by those two references.

in oklahoma!, the dream helps the main character figure out which of her suitors is the one she loves, and which one is the villain of the whole story

alternatively: it’s funny how there are people who think that queer readings of sherlock holmes are like a tunglr fandom thing bc there have been masses of academic works on the subject for decades and the first suggestively queer reading dates back to as early as 1941
