So @warmth-and-constancy uh….. this is an interesting version of a script to send to the Emmys when 1) that line wasn’t in it and 2) they kept on using “you know what happened to the other one” as an ambiguous line, that may not have referred to a Holmes sibling at all.
so you’re telling me that in 2016 they sent this to the emmys and risked them knowing the “Eurus Holmes sister” plot twist for a year.
*MASSIVE SIDE EYE*
MASSIVELY SIDE-EYEING THIS SHIT TOO
“…in which we could incarcerate Sherlock Holmes in…” isn’t even remotely good grammar, THIS WASN’T PROOFREAD
gjalalfhfjle i caught a “who’s” instead of “whose” earlier, i wasn’t going to be a pedant about it but fjflalakfbgjkelal INTERNS
Yeah, I, uh…I’m not trying to be a pedant here, I’m just saying, um, you know…you know who IS a pedant about grammar…like, a HUGE pedant about grammar…I’ll give you a hint, his initials are “M.G.”
I love how Martin just straight up ignores the scripts. He’s like, “HELL NO, John wouldn’t be grief stricken. He’d be murderously pissed. Any grief would come later.” And so he gave us this.
Martin is an actor this scripts and writers did not deserve. He knew John better than they did.
So, Sherlock was initially imagining getting shot by MULTIPLE MARY’S… she didn’t just cause heartbreak as A BRIDE, he was shot in the heart the first time he saw her having dinner with John. (x)
