How have i never noticed John’s subtle hand signal for tea????

My god, that is subtly brilliant.

even though John canonically never made the tea, he always knew when Sherlock wanted/needed one.

i noticed that first time watching and laughed my ass off. what a caring husband.

I never noticed that either, and i watched that episode more times than i can count! 😀
And yes, sherlock waving his “harpoon” around, would very much like a “cup of tea” with john! Mrs hudson knows…

as a newly employed starbucks partner i’m gonna have to refute this. sherlock is a coffee snob, he can tell the difference between latin american, african and asian coffees by smell and he does take it black but he drinks blonde roast so he’s not actually as edgy as he seems ok bye

Okay guys maybe I’m going too deep here, but:

In ASiB, after John has stopped dating women and dedicated his life to Sherlock, the two teapots are facing the same way, in sync. In TSoT, when John marries a woman, the tall skinny teapot is facing the same way, but the short squat teapot is facing the other direction. As in: the short squat teapot can “face both ways.” And one way goes with the tall skinny teapot and one way goes against the tall skinny teapot.

So they kept these probs from ASiB to TSoT only to set them in the very same spot (no coincidence) but not in the same position…. don’t they tell me this wasn’t on purpose!!!
But where are they now? I definitely want to see these tea pots!! I want to see them touch with their… well… spouts *cough*

By S4, they end up obscured by a person in the room or so blurry that their position is unclear. Usually, it’s Sherlock or Mrs. Hudson that blocks them out, but even in the photo from unreleased footage after the hug/before Sherlock & John leave for cake, it’s impossible to tell.
