things that keep me up at night:
-what was sherlock thinking behind that tree, as he listened to john’s monologue? Did he have any sort of realization? Or was he truly convinced that John would immediately move on because clearly he wouldn’t care about sherlock that much?
-THAT TREE WAS SIX INCHES AROUND AND FIVE FEET AWAY FROM SHERLOCK’S GRAVE HOW DID JOHN NOT SEE HIS ASS, SHERLOCK WASN’T EVEN TRYING TO STAND BEHIND IT
-…..unless he did see sherlock and was convinced that he was hallucinating his dead loved ones, because apparently that’s what john does and we are cursed with that knowledge now

Jim Moriarty’s Gingerbread Man sent to Sherlock Holmes in The Reichenbach Fall
– Some chap delivered a parcel. I forgot. Marked ‘Perishable’, I had to sign for it. Funny name. German, like the fairytales…
– Burnt to a crisp.

You can have me arrested, you can torture me, you can do anything you like with me, but nothing’s gonna prevent them from pulling the trigger. Your only three friends in the world will die unless… Unless I kill myself and complete your story.
He’s got my whole life story.
TRF
I have been wondering about this sentence since 2012 because we never learn anything about the very private things that are revealed in the article. No one ever mentions them. In TEH for example John does not even know Sherlock’s parents were alive. But this is not the most curious thing about the article.
Because at this point Jim had already met Eurus. I am quite sure that Jim did not say hello, recorded the videos, and went away. Eurus must have given him something in return and I suppose it was information about his beloved adversary. Which means that Mycroft as well as Eurus told Jim all about Sherlock’s life story.
Question: So what was in the infamous article by Kitty Riley? Neither Redbeard the dog nor Eurus, Victor Trevor, Uncle Rudi, the fire, nor anything else of importance could have been mentioned because then John and everyone else would have known about Sherlock’s past. And if Jim knew all about Sherlock, why did he not use it against him?
The only one who tried to use information about Sherlock’s childhood is Magnussen. Think of that.

But just think how differently season three could have been if after his speech at Sherlock’s grave John had come home to find a post-it note on his fridge that said, ‘Miracles take time.’
The second message comes as a text from an unknown number just a week later, it says, ‘Stop looking for me, it will make other people look too.’ John deletes the text immediately and clears his browser history for good measure.
The third is on a postcard from America, it shows a sheep in a leather coat with the caption ‘Baaah-d to the bone.’ The sharp angular scrawl on the back says, ‘I bought a grey wool jumper, it reminds me of home when I wear it.’ There is no return address of course.This.
More please.
Omg… miracles take time
I’m
having a thought, Barbossa –So,
remember back in TRF, when we though Mycroft had accidentally sold
Sherlock out to dear old Jim? And then came TEH and ah, no, it was a
plan. Big brother and Sherlock working in tandem, no need for
concern, Mycroft would nevah, righ? And that was a twist, and
while there are some of us (coughcoughmecough) who still don’t really
buy into the explanation fed to Anderson in TEH (I mean, yes, I do
think it’s the best we’ll get, as things stand, but ZE
PLOTHOOOOOLES), it was… something laid to rest, yes? Mycroft WOULD
actually never betray Sherlock, because his loss would break his heat
(and that is officially Sweet, and never let it be said I don’t love
me some brother bonding).Except.
Except. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID.He
knew about Jim’s obsession with Sherlock, he knew about Eurus, and he
let them conspire. He gave Jim means to all he needed to know about Sherlock, even if Myc himself said nothing. He did absolutely make that mistake John
accused him of in TRF, just much, much, much earlier. And that came
back to bite him royally in the ass, because while Mycroft post-TRF
is cool as cucumbers, reading that paper in the Diogenes, he’s an
absolute mess in TFP – he did not plan this, he did not expect
this.And
I dunno if that acutally matter, if it means anything, and maybe
you’ve all already discussed this to death, but… it just occured to
me that it’s the clever negation of a twist several years old – a double bluff! – and
that’s both neat and screaming fridge horror to me.Also, I love this show, even the bits I don’t like, and I miss it so much.
