People are actually saying on twitter that John has a beard only because “Martin was too lazy to shave” 🙄🙄🙄
Also saw that you can see Martin’s mic clipped to his blue shirt. I don’t think Martin is the lazy one here
I think he didn’t shave simply because that particular bit was filmed shortly before he’s started filming The Operative, surely not because he’s lazy lmao… (like I’ve already seen people writing meta about the beard, but I honestly doubt there is a super deep meaning to it)
Yeah, from the timeline it sounds like he might have filmed with Gatiss right before he left to film for The Opretive, in which he has that beard.
At least they didn’t CGI it out and give him a fake jaw and badly CGi’d lips XD XD XD
The fact that he had the beard because he was filming something else, not because they wanted him to was my first thought as well.
Well, right after the thought OMG OMG OMG OMG Moriarty.
It’s totally because he was filming something else.
And I can’t tell is that a sarcastic OMG? Because I’m so tired of them dragging out Moriarty every time they release something new.
I was away all day and just saw the trailer. Maybe others have mentioned what appears to be another lazy thing : doesn’t that first shot of 221B have lighting equipment in the foreground? I don’t know the tech term, but a board that reflects light?
I don’t see it on the pic I have, so I’m not sure? But like how did all that shit survive the fire form that stupid explosion? John’s pillow is still on his chair and all the files in the corner?
But if you have a pic please share friend!
I just screenshot on my tablet, so not great…..
That thing at the bottom of the shot? Yeah dunno what that is
it’s funny how for most of us, the only takeaway from that trailer is john’s beard.
John looked hot, the rest is just nonsense. I don’t think it’s a coincidence they added a little John to this trailer though after all the complaining about how he was treated in the last one.
Alert me in the following extraordinary, impossible cases:
1) BBC Sherlock is canceled 2) A Tabloid reports Martin Freeman to have done something equally as heroic as Benedict Cumberbatch did last week (like gave the Heimlich to a man choking on chips in Hyde Park last February or something ridiculous) 3) Queen Elizabeth II interacts with the new Sherlock content in an adorably-cute-for-an-old-person kind of way (like her James Bond/Olympics stuff) 4) Any Sherlock actor reports doing anything related to their in-universe persona but not related to the escape game (for example, Mark Gatiss has tea with Corbyn or Khan, Toby Jones volunteers at a children’s hospital, Rupert Graves is a key witness in a petty crime)
IF one of these incredibly unrealistic things happen any time soon, then, and only then, will I consider the possibility of an ARG in relation to the events of The Geek Interpreter.
