If it makes anyone feel better, loo replied to a few people on twitter to say she could have been more sensitive, is aware of the LGBT audience’s pain and is sorry for that, and wrt an article on queerbating and heteronormativity said she read it with interest. I know it’s not much and much more could be said (or not said) but little things like that are small victories. It would be unfair not to look at the positives and only talk about the negatives, and I do respect when someone acknowledges they could have gone about something in a better way. A more public apology would have been better for us, but also it’s not easy to talk about criticisms of your employers on social media, so we have to appreciate that too.

@madnerdywitch oh BOY. If you check her Twitter you can see the conversation. In a nutshell: the poor writing of Molly in TFP (the throughout the show in general) got brought up. Loo insists that queer fans just wanted Sherlock to say ILU to John so that’s why they’re pissed. She completely missed the point even though she says she knows what we are talking about despite never seeing TFP for herself.

To add: apparently now it’s harassment?? I haven’t gone through all of the tweets. But I saw the ones she replied to (like cupidford’s)…and it’s not? Someone please correct me if I’m not seeing the Twitter convo correctly, but like….having a conversation where both sides don’t agree doesn’t mean one side or both is being harassed.

Can we all agree to not bother loo about any of this anymore? Clearly she doesn’t get it, even though she says she does, hasn’t see TFP and will just dismiss us because “Sherlock didn’t say I love you so John!” She’s making it about herself even though she “knows the discourse”. Right okay. We’ll all go read some Chekhov and leave you alone.

this is just interesting to me because like? how do you submit lyrics to apple music? and they just? get approved like this? okay

also apple apparently has a team of lyric curators whose job i assume it is to make sure this type of shit doesn’t happen so? what is the truth?

explain.

I’m pretty sure you can edit lyrics, but it’s only visible on your account? So? Like? What. Is. This. Then,,,,

He replied to me! Omg, that was quick! (x)

In addition to this post (x), but I think it’s amazing what this reply tells us about the scene in TFP… a motif which is great for “loss or regret”, but what exactly did Sherlock lose, or what does he regret in this scene?

Maybe the opportunity to say the words “I love you” for the very first time to anyone in his entire life, ever?

You’re welcome.

JACKY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR GIVING US THIS GEM!

Indeed, the way I see it, the “LOSS” is Sherlock and John losing each other if John dies, and “REGRET” is precisely the “it’s too late now/ no it’s not, it’s not too late!” for love confessions and a romantic relationship.

This is just wonderful. Thanks again!
