HOLY SHIT okay, in the vivala.me video the woman mentions the number 16,676, which is oddly specific, you know. then i realized that it could be a date, so i spent some time googling 16/6/76, until i finally found this:

 i mean seriously, how could this just be a coincidence???

@worriesconstantly @tjlc @tjlcisthenewsexy @teapotsubtext @the-7-percent-solution @jenna221b

omg hahahaha– I was looking up a plot summary to see if I could make any connections. The plot is about a Sherman Holmes suffering a head injury and then believing he’s Sherlock Holmes adlhfsgh BUT

“The genres into which The Return Of The World’s Greatest Detective fits are comedy-drama and mystery-suspense.”

Seems applicable to The Final Problem to me. 😉

Great find @nerfherding-smuggler, thanks for sharing. Viva La Coincidence! 😉

this is?? so fucking weird?? @tjlcisthenewsexy

This looks like a public call to bloggers and journalists to pay attention to what is going on on @tjlcisthenewsexy ‘s Tumblr page. Unsure if real or ARG-devised, but either way there may be some wider attention focused on all of this fairly soon. The bitly link is a shortened link to the Vivala.me homepage – its purpose is likely to track how many people are using that particular link to check out Vivala.me. Brace yourselves, folks.

Fucky….

For those that don’t know already, he works for the company.

Literally this is what my ask to them was about, a research project on posthumous death ritual.

ANSWER ME

Umm. Ok. I’m not sure if I quite understand what’s going on here.

The header image of “Sabatiel”’s twitter is a reference to the group Anonymous. They wear Guy Fawkes masks when appearing in public.

@jenna221b @gosherlocked @marcespot @toxicsemicolon @the-7-percent-solution @teapotsubtext @inevitably-johnlocked @may-shepard @worriesconstantly

He is a Digital Marketer & Marketing Specialist. This might actually e the ARG?!

From wiki: “Anonymous is a loosely associated international network of activist and hacktivist entities. A website nominally associated with the group describes it as “an Internet gathering” with “a very loose and decentralized command structure that operates on ideas rather than directives”. The group became known for a series of well-publicized publicity stunts and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks on government, religious, and corporate websites.

Anonymous originated in 2003 on the imageboard 4chan, representing the concept of many online and offline community users simultaneously existing as an anarchic, digitized global brain. Anonymous members (known as “Anons”) can be distinguished in public by the wearing of Guy Fawkes masks in the style portrayed in the graphic novel and film V for Vendetta.

In its early form, the concept was adopted by a decentralized online community acting anonymously in a coordinated manner, usually toward a loosely self-agreed goal, and primarily focused on entertainment, or “lulz”. Beginning with 2008’s Project Chanology—a series of protests, pranks, and hacks targeting the Church of Scientology—the Anonymous collective became increasingly associated with collaborative hacktivism on a number of issues internationally…..

…Broadly speaking, Anons oppose Internet censorship and control, and the majority of their actions target governments, organizations, and corporations that they accuse of censorship. Anons were early supporters of the global Occupy movement and the Arab Spring.[15] Since 2008, a frequent subject of disagreement within Anonymous is whether members should focus on pranking and entertainment or more serious (and, in some cases, political) activism….Brian Kelly writes that three of the group’s key characteristics are “(1) an unrelenting moral stance on issues and rights, regardless of direct provocation; (2) a physical presence that accompanies online hacking activity; and (3) a distinctive brand.”

Anonymous is also the one who sends Sherlock puzzles

And is ‘Anonymous’ also the one that hacks John’s blog?

It probably won’t lead anywhere, because Anonymous is such a huge entity, but their Twitter is /YourAnonNews/, and so is their Tumblr blog. @tjlcisthenewsexy @worriesconstantly @tendergingergirl @whimsicalethnographies @teapotsubtext @teaandqueerbaiting

what the FUCK is going on

He also posted stuff about vivala on the 7th.  How long have we known about the site? I feel like it’s been less than a week, but idk anymore

Uh, a marketing specialist with hardly any followers or tweets?

🚨🚨huge red flag🚨🚨

And if he is indeed that…then he just wants to use is so…I think it’s time we take a huge step back from this you guys. Thelostspecial.com was fun. Now it’s just getting super weird and dark weblike

Trying to reblog that Vivala post by @worriesconstantly but tumbls won’t let me. I wanted to point out this detail…

Sherlock’s birthday features prominently in the promo vid, here:

It’s the only date listed, over and over, under the “Created” column. Here’s a close-up:

“2017/01/06″

This is a yyyy/mm/dd format. The same but with month and day swapped doesn’t really exist as a date format, so we know it’s January 6th not June 1st, the same as BBC Sherlock’s birthday (the day at least, not the year obvs).

Also the fact that this is the ONLY date listed in that column, and the column is titled “CREATED” as in… when Sherlock Holmes was “created” ..??¿

 @jenna221b@may-shepard@inevitably-johnlocked@the-7-percent-solution@longsnowsmoon5@ebaeschnbliah@marcespot

The fucky things just keep piling up

I’m tired

Also, could this be the obvious thing to indicate an ARG?

wow

Okay, yeah, the pricing alksdgjklajjkl;;

I was so hung up on the dollars vs. any other currency thing that I failed to notice or question the fact that the preferred plan costs less than the basic one, that the preferred one is apparently billed annually even though it’s listed as $9.99/month, and that the lifetime plan is FOUR TIMES as expensive as the basic plan for twice the amount of stuff

Why would you need fifty trustees, is it for your homeless network???

How is this a website which hires Serbian television actresses? Am I hallucinating it? The whole thing feels like a fake 1-800-555-TJLC telephone number in website format, it’s a goddamn Musgrave tombstone

has anyone signed up for the free plan yet?

Ah! Thank you so much for this!!!

SO? This gave me instant anxiety! As everyone has noted, this is the shittiest marketing campaign ever for a company that’s supposed to offer a source of comfort.

THEY SAY YOU CAN’T CONTROL THE FUTURE

HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONTROL

AFTER DEATH CONTROL

YOU’RE NOW ABLE TO CONTROL

YOU NOW CAN CONTROL YOUR FUTURE

you NOW CAN

control YOUR FUTURE

not to mention

VERY LONG AND PAINFUL

YOU ARE STILL ALIVE

Just saying.

@devoursjohnlock @221bloodnun @whimsicalethnographies @euphoriccalliope apologies if I’m leaving out literally everybody but I gtg.

THREE PACKAGES!

It’s totally disturbing how many times the word “control” appears in this text

They said control, like 50 times, at least. It was weird.

This is curiously strange.

My initial reaction to people setting up “posthumous” content to be sent to Sue and Moffat was “Hmmm, I don’t know I feel about that? What if this website is legit and nothing to do with an ARG? Should we really troll the showrunners?” but upon three seconds’ further reflection I think it’s HILARIOUS that people are contacting Sue and Moffat through a posthumous video delivery service djslgjlsagjlag

Get creative with it! Put on a blonde wig and dress as Mary! Say things like “Who John and Sherlock are…does really matter. Save them, Moffat. Save their chemistry and their characterization. Go to hell…Moffat.” Send them a “Did You Miss Me” Moriarty macro image with “Me” crossed out and the words “Resolving Anything” penciled in with a Paint tool. Record yourself reciting an overdramatic “my darling” letter detailing how you’ll be back one day, when they reveal that TFP was All Just a Dream and return us to our regularly scheduled character arcs.

If nothing else it’s a fun way to circumvent the BBC complaints process

That’s the spirit! I totally think someone should dress up as ACD.

ok but the fact you’d essentially have to fake ur own death mary-style in order for them to receive ur message… im screamin

Also the fact that an ARG is interactive not just one way fuckiness, and the free trial is so easy to actually get into (like SO quick), I think this is meant to be part of it tbh.

This is honestly the funniest thing I have ever seen or heard in my 23 years of life. If you can somehow send these videos through this company please do 😂

The website was created in 2013, but it could have been bought from another company as the company claiming to have bought it was created in 2016. (I’m going to touch on that email later

What is real life

we’re living in a nightmare

Uhm. 2 things:

1. NameCheap.com???

2. Why does a website that supposedly is for a service to send creepy posthumous messages end its domain on my birthday this year? GRANTED it’s probably just a contract end date (like I own a domain and it’s a yearly contract), so nothing really to take much from it here, it’s just interesting that a service that is supposed to be like a pre-order site for your death that you have no idea how many years you will be around, you’d think they would have a more… lengthy contract. It’s just really interesting to me.

3. (Okay I lied). Like the OP posted…. don’t.u.forget email address. Any PROFESSIONAL SERVICE WOULD HAVE A DOMAIN EMAIL to contact them at. Just. wow.

One very imprtant thing. I live one hour from Kraków. I know this city like my own and company like this doesn’t even existe in Kraków especial no to at this adress. I check.
This is serious shit.
